Sorry but I'm too tired to do another Bite tonight. The boss is off for three weeks so I'm picking up the extra hours. In the meantime I just wanna point something out that people seem to have missed.
I didn't want to mention Jacko. He died, it's tragic and controversial but the web has enough coverage and tributes already. We reached saturation point within 24 hours. But. Working in a shop, I get bombarded with conversation so I've had plenty of people giving their opinions on the subject and one topic in particular was interesting. His kids. Everyone is quick to point out that although Paris and Prince are probably not his, Blanket supposedly is. And their main body of evidence for this opinion is the similarity between Blanket and his father. Let's look at that for a moment shall we?
Jacko.
Blanket.
Specifically that second image that the papers seem to like. Click it to get the full size bit cos he's kinda cut off. Remarkable resemblance to Jacko's mouth huh?
But. Jacko looks that way due to surgery and maybe Vitiligo. Surely if Blanket was Jackson's he would look more like this?
No? This is simple genetics. Which begs the question... Why in the hell does Blanket resemble Jacko??
Mull that over for a while.

Nah i think all his kids are adopted ones. That would explain their white skin. Even as a halfbreed between a black and a white a kid has a somewhat brown toned skin. (except albinos 'course).
Btw, my mom suffers under vitiligo and her skin is looking totally different compared to MJ. With vitiligo you get white blots at your hands, wrists, ankles and ellbows, neck, crotch. So all joints or extremities in which the skin is stretched and the melanin concentration is gone.
If MJ would have suffered under vitiligo surgeons would have done an amazing job to cover those blots. Or they destroyed all melanin with chemicals. *shrugs* But this is not healthy. With Vitiligo you get sunburns very easily. I know from my mom. 10 minutes exposed to summer sun and her skin looks like a cooked sausage.

Jacko's always claimed Vitiligo but as you say, it's a patchy disease. Doctors have also said it would be pretty difficult if not impossible to completely bleach black skin to the point where you look like Jacko. The more likely suggestion they've made is that he did have Vitiligo, has had bleaching to lighten the darker patches remaining and then uses heavy makeup over the whole lot to even out the tone.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, Blanket is an oddment. Paris and Prince's mother has said that they are the result of an anonymous sperm donor, not Jacko's. But Blanket's mother is still unknown, which is pretty remarkable. The press have a habit of finding shit out and yet still no one knows who she is. but whether MJ was or wasn't his father... the kid still looks unnaturally like him. Someone I know joked that he was a clone but still, even if he was he'd resemble young Jacko. It also amazes me that there's still no decent pics of Blanket's face anywhere to make a decent comparison. Perhaps that will change now and we'll see just how close the resemblance is.
